This was another week of good dumpster diving. Most of these items came in one trip.
Vulto Creamery, Walton, New York, is recalling all lots of Andes, Blue Blais, Hamden, Walton Umber, Ouleout, Miranda, Heinennellie, and Willowemoc soft wash-rind raw milk cheeses out of an abundance of caution due to one lot testing positive for Listeria monocytogenes. The soft raw milk cheeses were distributed nationwide, with most being sold at retail locations in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic States, California, Chicago, Portland and Washington, DC. For more information, check here. Whole Foods Market has announced their own recall of the Vulto creamery cheeses that it has been selling as cut and packaged in clear plastic wrap with scale labels. Yoke's Fresh Market is proactively recalling two types of Colby cheese due to a potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products were sold in Yoke's Fresh Market stores in WA and ID under the grocery brand's private label. The products being recalled are:

Lipari Foods, LLC has issued a voluntary recall of various bulk and retail cheeses due to potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. The products were distributed to food service and retail stores throughout Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Lakeview Cheese and Bashas' Family of Stores are proactively recalling various types of Colby cheese due to a potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled products were sold at Bashas' and Food City supermarkets' Arizona meat departments under the grocery brand's private label. The recall consists of nine Colby cheese products, including fixed-weight and bulk- cut, random-weight items. The products being voluntarily recalled are:

Deutsch Kase Haus, LLC of Middlebury, Indiana, supplied MDS Foods with cheeses that have been found to be contaminated with the pathogenic organism Listeria Monocytogenes. . MDS Foods, Inc. has also recalled potentially affected products that were packaged on the same production lines in their Tullahoma, TN facility as the affected product. Biery Cheese Co. is voluntarily recalling specialty Longhorn Colby cheese due to potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. This recall has been expanded to include GFS Monterey Jack Cheese with Jalapeno Peppers. This product has been sent to retailers from distribution centers in Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Saputo Inc. (Saputo) is voluntarily recalling certain Gouda cheese products in the United States after having been notified that some specialty Gouda cheese products that were supplied to Saputo’s Green Bay, Wisconsin facility may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The Great Midwest® Applewood Smoked Gouda and Dutchmark® Smoked Gouda products have been recalled.
These products have been sold nationwide. The Great Midwest® cheeses were mostly sold at deli counters. For more information, check here.
