The Kroger Co. has recalled Kroger Dessert Cups –Yellow Sponge Cake (6.5 oz., 6 Pack) sold in its retail stores because it contains undeclared milk. This product is being recalled from all stores operating under names Kroger, Owen’s, Pay Less, Scott’s, Gerbes, Ruler Foods, Dillons, Baker’s, Food4Less and  Jay C, located in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. For more information, check here. Go grab these dessert cups if you can find them, and aren't allergic to milk!

macadamia nuts recallThe Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) today announced the recall of its Simple Truth Dry Roasted Macadamia Nuts due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Kroger, Bakers, Gerbes and Dillons stores operating in the following states are included in this recall: Ohio, Southeast Indiana, Northern Kentucky, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. For more information, check here. I don't suggest grabbing these, just to be on the safe side.

Edit: Kroger has expanded this recall to include all stores nationwide under the following names: Kroger, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Foods Co., Fred Meyer, Fry's, King Soopers, City Market, Smith's, Dillons, Baker's, Gerbes, Jay C, Ruler Foods, Pay Less, Pick ‘N Save, Copps, Metro Market, Owen's and QFC.

green chile burrito recallGreen Chile Food Company, a Las Cruces, N.M. establishment, is recalling approximately 252,854 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) meat and poultry frozen burrito products because they may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes. These items were shipped to institutions, retail stores and distribution centers in California, Illinois, Oregon, and South Dakota. Below is a list of the recalled items.

cod recallTrident Seafoods Corporation is issuing a voluntary recall of select lots of frozen Multi-Grain Alaskan Cod, Net Wt. 12, oz., because they may contain small pieces of plastic. The recalled product is Trident Seafoods Multi-Grain Alaskan Cod (Frozen). The recalled products were sold at old at Albertsons, Amazon, Cub Foods, Jewel, Morey’s, Plaza Extra, Shaw's, Shoprite, Sprouts, SUPERVALU, and Woodman’s retailers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. There is white plastic in the fish. So I'd say, if you feel confident in your ability to remove the plastic, go ahead and eat this item (if you can find it still mostly frozen). Lamb Weston is recalling 14 ounce packages of Red Robin Burgers and Brews Crispy Onion Rings manufactured by Fry Foods and sold in grocery stores, because the product may contain an undeclared milk allergen. The Red Robin Burgers and Brews Crispy Onion Rings were distributed in the U.S. through retail grocery stores. No other products are impacted by this recall. For more information, check here. As long as you aren't allergic to milk, I'd say this item is perfect for taking home.
